Position Summary
- All food at this facility food is catered by an outside company. The Dietary Aide will have to work effectively with the catering staff to receive all product and meals. Must be able to store food and product properly.
- Will need to have a food handling certificate and will need no less than 1 years worth of experience working in a commercial kitchen or in a similar role.
- Safe food handling is a must.
- Will need to heat food items to the correct temperature and serve appropriately.
- The Dietary Aide will be responsible for cleaning the kitchen and storing all food, products, utensils and other items correctly.
- Bilingual Spanish highly preferred
The Dietary Aide responsibilities are but not limited to:
Responsibilities
- Under the direction and supervision of the Food Service Director, the Dietary Aide will be responsible for performing tasks to ensure the timely preparation and delivery of nutritious attractive meals and supplements to all residents.
- Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment
- Attends all meetings and in-services as required.
- Willingness to serve meals and to wash dishes required.
- Reports problems and needs to the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Promotes teamwork and cooperation with other staff.
- Presents professional image to consumers through dress, behavior, and speech.
- Ensures all resident rights are protected.
Experience and Skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand English for business necessity.
- Basic understanding of sanitation, organization and safety.
- Prior experience in food service preferred.
- Prior experience in long-term a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $17.50 - $20.50 per hour
