The DCP will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a day program setting.
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and transportation.
- Support individuals in developing social skills, participating in community activities, and achieving personal goals.
- Implement and follow individual support plans and behavior intervention plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided.
- Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and team members.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
- Attend training sessions and team meetings as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in human services or related field is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and assist individuals as needed.
