We are seeking an eager and dynamic Product Development Associate to join our team in Garfield, NJ

The Product Development Associate will be responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of various safety products designed for online retail. This role involves coordination between different departments, including marketing, graphics, data, sales to ensure that the products meet market needs and consumer expectations. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of product development processes, market research, and e-commerce strategies. This position reports to the Product Development Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and customer needs specific to safety products.
  • Develops detailed product specifications and maintains documentation throughout the product development process.
  • Works closely with different teams, including graphics, content, data, and marketing, to develop a product roadmap. Ensure that the products launched on our platforms adhere to established standards.
  • Continuously analyzes the competitive landscape and consumer trends to identify potential areas for product innovation or improvement.
  • Works with the data team to introduce products to the market. Ensure all product information, including descriptions, pricing, and promotional materials, is accurate and compelling.
  • Often leads and participates in cross-functional teams to ensure that all aspects of product development are aligned and moving forward efficiently.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, product design, or a related field.
  • 1- 3 years of experience in marketing or product development, in the e-commerce sector is preferred. 
  • Strong understanding of the e-commerce landscape and customer buying behaviors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office.
