Event Operations Manager

Summary: The Event Operations Manager is responsible for cultivating and maintaining client relationships and contributing to successful event planning and execution. The Event Operations Manager will lead in planning and organizing events,ensuring all details are considered to meet or exceed client expectations.
Responsibilities:
● Hire, train, and develop event staff to ensure service standards are met and the event spaces are properly maintained.
● Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, by ensuring satisfaction throughout the event execution process.
● Attend daily/weekly BEO/event meetings to review event contracts, ensuring all details are outlined and align with company policies and client expectations.
● Work closely with the event sales team to ensure BEO’s are detailed, budgets for staffing, etc., are finalized to ensure proper staffing, etc.
● Host event day pre-shift meetings so staff is well informed of the details around all events.
● Work closely with culinary team to ensure proper timing of food service, etc.
● Handle logistical aspects such as audio-visual requirements, and other necessary arrangements for smooth event execution.
● Create and maintain detailed event timelines, coordinating with various departments to ensure all components are executed on schedule.
● Anticipate and address potential issues or challenges during the planning and execution phases, implementing effective solutions to ensure event success.
● Collaborate with the operations and events team to ensure seamless execution of events to meet or exceed client expectations.
● Manage inventory, order supplies, process invoices, to ensure cost of goods goals & objectives are met.
● Gather and analyze client feedback by conducting post-event evaluations and identifying areas of improvement.
● Ensure compliance with legal and industry regulations in all aspects of event sales activities.
● Leverage technology and sales tools to streamline processes, manage client relationships, and enhance overall efficiency.
Must haves:
● At least 2 years of experience in event operations management or similar role.
● Ability to strategically plan multiple large scale events aligned with organizational goals.
● Ability to hire, train and develop staff.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Expertise in client relationship management
● Meticulous attention to detail
● Knowledge of various software, including Triple Seat, Point of Sale systems, and reservations systems.
● Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
