Java Developer Sunrise, FL (Hybrid)

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Developing Java-based Applications: Design, code, test, debug, and deploy Java-based applications, services, and software components.

  2. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, QA testers, and product managers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.

  3. Problem Solving: Analyze and troubleshoot complex issues in existing Java applications and propose solutions to enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability.

  4. Software Development Lifecycle: Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.

  5. Code Review: Conduct and participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines.

  6. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, API specifications, and user manuals.

  7. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest Java technologies, frameworks, and best practices, and proactively suggest improvements to enhance development processes and productivity.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Proficiency in Java: Strong proficiency in Java programming language, including object-oriented principles, design patterns, and best practices.

  2. Experience with Java Frameworks: Hands-on experience with popular Java frameworks and technologies such as Spring, Hibernate, JPA, Servlets, JSP, etc.

  3. Database Knowledge: Familiarity with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server, including database design, SQL queries, and ORM frameworks.

  4. Web Development: Experience in web development using Java-based technologies like JSP, Servlets, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, etc.

  5. Version Control: Proficient in using version control systems like Git for source code management and collaboration.

  6. Problem-solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues.

  7. Team Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

  8. Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is typically required. A master's degree or relevant certifications can be a plus.

  9. Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments is desirable.

  10. Testing: Knowledge of software testing principles and practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing frameworks like JUnit.

  11. Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, or CircleCI for automated build, test, and deployment processes.

  12. Cloud Platforms: Understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and experience with cloud-native development is beneficial.
