We are seeking an Environmental Scientist to fill a Direct Hire opening in Lockland, OH As an Environmental Scientist, you will assist with environmental and safety operations, ensure compliance with regulations, and contribute to sustainability initiatives within the manufacturing industry.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Environmental and Safety Operations: Assist with environmental and safety operations, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Assist with compliance, reporting, and record-keeping to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Sustainability Research: Research environmental sustainability issues or concerns and contribute to the development of solutions.
  • Policy Enforcement: Enforce Sustainability & Environmental Policy, Procedures, Plans, and Programs.
  • Program Monitoring: Monitor, report, and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability program implementations.
  • Compliance Audits: Conduct internal and external compliance audits to ensure adherence to regulations and standards.
  • Corrective and Preventive Actions: Conduct Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions resulting from non-conformances.
  • Vendor Audits: Update and maintain vendor audits to ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.


Requirements
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience with sustainability is required.
    • Previous experience in the Manufacturing Industry is required.
  • Knowledge:
    • Knowledge of environmental science and greenhouse gas offset (CO2e) measurement methods and theories.
    • Familiarity with EPA, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
  • Skills:
    • Strong hazard recognition abilities.
    • Proficient computer skills for data analysis and reporting.
