Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Real Estate Debt Capital Markets Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in analyzing, structuring, and executing debt transactions within the real estate sector. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the growth and success of our firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct in-depth analysis of real estate debt markets, including trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity.
  2. Assist in structuring debt transactions, including term loans, revolving credit facilities, and mortgage-backed securities.
  3. Prepare comprehensive financial models and forecasts to evaluate potential investment opportunities and assess risk.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to compile market research reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  5. Assist in the due diligence process, including reviewing legal documents, conducting property inspections, and assessing borrower creditworthiness.
  6. Monitor and track the performance of existing debt investments, providing regular updates and recommendations for optimization.
  7. Support senior management in developing and executing strategic initiatives to enhance the firm's position in the real estate debt market.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, economics, or related field; advanced degree or CFA designation preferred.
  2. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in investment banking, real estate finance, or debt capital markets.
  3. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  5. Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Knowledge of real estate debt instruments and capital markets dynamics is highly desirable.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ).
