Sterling Engineering is looking for mold technician for a company that specializes in plastic injection molding where they manufacturer components and assemblies. . This is a great opportunity to work with a company that has great benefits
Job Duties:
  • Maintain and repair molds ranging from 17 to 400 tons
  • Troubleshoot tooling issues and collaborate with plastics personnel
  • Read and interpret tool drawings (blueprints or electronic)
  • Utilize shop measuring tools and toolroom equipment (grinders, milling machines, lathes, etc.)
  • Apply knowledge of injection molding, materials, and processing
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Implement and improve mold preventative maintenance (PM) program
  • Operate lift trucks and fork trucks
  • Adhere to safety rules and good housekeeping practices
  • Collaborate with engineering, machine maintenance, and other departments

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience repairing injection molding tooling
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively
  • Experience with ISO9001 standards
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, and reaching
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., frequent lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing environment
