MILA has exceeded expectations in its initial two years, achieving remarkable success despite pandemic-related challenges, and securing the #5 spot in The Restaurant Business Top 100 ranking. SUMMARY:
Baristas are responsible for making and delivering quality beverages, generally specialty hot drinks, coffee and teas. and cleaning and stocking the Barista station.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up coffee station with milk, milk alternatives.
  • Refill grinders with the appropriate coffee bins
  • Brew iced tea
  • Refill bottled water in fridge
  • Make tea bags with the prescribed amount of loose lead teas 
  • Refill sugar caddies per the SOP
  • Check all coffee / teacups / espresso cups + saucers
  • Ensure all coffee/teaspoons + demitasse spoons are clean and neatly stocked, all handles pointing the same direction
  • Ensure the fridges are clean and organized per the SOP
  • Ensure trash cans are clean
  • FIFO for all perishable items
  • Complete all other tasks as assigned by management. 

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Self-motivated and performance driven.
  • Professionalism and courtesy.
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours or length of shift.
  • Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.
  • Effective communication, written and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to read and speak English proficiently.
  • Ability to problem solve quickly
