This is accomplished by preparing sites for work; maintaining and repairing waste-water lines and mains; completing work orders, repairing lines and equipment, answering questions from customers; and informing the public regarding closures. Other duties include maintaining vehicles and tools, inspecting sites, and other assigned duties.Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the organization and cleanliness of trucks, shops, and areas.
  • Cleans, unstops, repairs, and checks sewer mains, water mains, and service lifts.
  • Position is subject to callback; pending an emergency response situation
  • Assigned as primary on-call responder once per month as scheduled.
  • Works on 2-3 person crews performing maintenance, installation, and repair
  • Replacement of the city's water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Checking log sheets on vehicles daily and updating them.
  • Works directly under a crew leader or heavy equipment operator to complete necessary wastewater jobs.

  • Following through on customer requests and questions.
  • Projecting self-control, confidence, and composure while managing emotions, time, energy, and performance.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must have flexible availability; able to work weekends
  • Must have a Valid Class C Driver’s License.
Education and Experience:
  • Graduation from an accredited high school GED Program.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be comfortable working outside.
  • Must be able to lift/push/move up to 50 lbs.
