Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Controls Technician to join our manufacturing team in Gainesville, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting control systems to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Responsibilities:
- Install and configure PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, sensors, and actuators.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibrations of control systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults in control systems and associated equipment.
- Program and modify control devices for optimized manufacturing processes.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and production managers to integrate and improve control systems.
- Provide technical support and training to other staff on control system operations.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, electrical engineering, or related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience with PLCs, SCADA, and HMIs in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to document processes.
- Effective communication skills.
Work Environment:
- Primarily on the production floor with potential shift work and on-call duties.
- Physical demands include standing for long periods, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
