What We Are Looking For:

Bandwidth is seeking a Director of Facilities to oversee the strategic and operational management of our facilities and workplace environments. Reporting to the Senior Director of Facilities, the Director of Facilities will collaborate closely with various teams to ensure efficient operations, maintenance, and enhancement of Bandwidth's physical assets.

What You'll Do:

  • Facilities Management
    • Ensure Bandwidth's Facilities support the Whole Person Promise; the mission of the People Services Team to provide Bandwidth Employees with meaningful work + a full life by supporting them in Mind, Body, and Spirit.
    • Improve existing strategies and develop and implement new comprehensive facilities management strategies to support Bandwidth's operational needs and business objectives.
    • Manage the Facilities and Property Management Teams to oversee day-to-day operations of all US facilities, including maintenance, cleaning, and repairs.
  • Project Management
    • Overall Management and completion of various Real Estate/Facilities projects including:
      • New Construction / Renovations / re-furnishings / rebrandings of various offices
      • Coordination with Architects and Designers for major graphic design and office branding projects
      • Office moves and relocations
      • Space Planning
      • Budget and Market Analyses
      • Stakeholder Relations and Management
  • Health, Safety, and Security
    • Manage and Collaborate with the Safety and Security Manager to ensure a safe and secure workplace environment. Ensure all facilities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Ensure the Security Team is equipped with the resources, best practices and protocols for success.
    • Implement and oversee emergency response plans and procedures.
    • Coordinate with the Information Security and Information Technology teams to ensure compliance with industry and contractual requirements. This includes preparation for, participation in, and response to internal and external security audits.
  • Space Planning and Utilization
    • Strategically plan and manage office space allocations to optimize productivity and efficiency.
    • Coordinate office layout changes, expansions, and relocations as necessary.
  • Budget and Resource Management
    • Develop and manage budgets for facilities operations, maintenance, and capital projects.
    • Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality.
    • Develop multi-year maintenance and budget plans as needed.
  • Team Management
    • Develop, coach, and mentor members of the Facilities Team. Identify areas of excellence and areas for improvement.
    • Establish training programs and best practices for individual and team development.
    • Covering for team members as needed. No job is beneath anyone on the team.
  • Works in person in a normal office environment with some travel required including:
    • Annual trips to other Bandwidth offices
    • Project-related travel as needed

What You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 10+ years experience in Corporate Facility Management or a related field. Multi-office management experience required.
  • Knowledge:
    • Manage multiple offices in multiple regions or countries
    • Lease negotiation & management
    • Vendor/3rd party contract negotiation & management
    • Construction & renovation project management
    • Space/Capacity planning
    • Asset management and equipment replacement cycles
  • Skills:
    • Great written and verbal communication skills
    • Managing and coaching to improve team performance and individual team member development
    • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
    • Highly organized and attentive to details
    • Develop, manage, and maintain complex budgets
