Job Description

Join our dynamic, remote team as a Data Security SME where you can help our federal client secure their data. You will help develop and implement a data security plan to achieve government Zero Trust mandates.

Position Duties:

  • Develop and implement Zero Trust data security plans.
  • Work with client teams to implement Zero Trust Architecture.
  • Provide guidance on end-to-end data protection including mechanisms such as Data Loss Prevention and Rights Management Services.
  • Work with the client organization to ensure that all stakeholders understand Zero Trust principals and know how to manage data securely.
  • Assess the level of risk associated with different data types and adopt processes to secure the data at the proper level.
  • Assess and mitigate data security risks by staying abreast of emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Create, review, and update data security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications

Required Skillset:

  • Must have a minimum of 7 years of related experience in the field of data security
  • Proven experience as a Data Security SME.
  • In-depth knowledge of data security principles, Zero Trust, encryption technologies, and access controls.
  • Understanding of Zero Trust architecture.
  • Familiarity with relevant security regulations and standards
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Desired Skillset:

  • Experience working with the Federal Government.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience working with Agile Teams utilizing Scrum.

Education:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other technical field of study

Clearance Requirement:

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
