Tesco Staffing in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our team in our fast-paced Mexican food station You will be responsible for preparing and cooking authentic Mexican dishes using fresh ingredients, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met, and contributing to a positive and efficient kitchen environment.

  • Available shifts-

10am to 6pm & 12pm to 6:30pm (M-Thurs.)

  • Pay- $17/hour

Responsibilities-

  • Prepare a variety of Mexican dishes according to established recipes.
  • Cook various ingredients using proper techniques, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to food safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following sanitation and safety protocols.
  • Portion and assemble dishes accurately and efficiently to meet customer demand.
  • Operate and maintain assigned kitchen equipment (e.g., flat top grill, fryer, steamer) following safety guidelines.
  • Assist with restocking ingredients and maintaining inventory levels within the station.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and order completion.

Qualifications-

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably in a Mexican cuisine setting.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures (HACCP preferred).
  • Excellent knife skills and experience with various cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
  • Passion for Mexican cuisine and a desire to learn and grow.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $16.50 - $17.00/hour.
