Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of pediatric patients to determine their specific therapy needs, taking into account their developmental, physical, cognitive, and emotional capabilities.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on individual patient goals, using evidence-based therapeutic techniques and approaches.
  • Provide high-quality therapy sessions to children in a one-on-one or group setting, focusing on areas such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech-language therapy, as determined by your area of specialization.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, regularly updating treatment plans and communicating with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, psychologists, and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Collaborate closely with parents and caregivers to provide education, support, and training on therapeutic techniques and strategies that can be incorporated into the child's daily routines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, including progress notes, treatment summaries, and billing information.
  • Stay informed about the latest research, best practices, and advancements in pediatric therapy, continuously enhancing your knowledge and skills through professional development opportunities.
  • Adhere to clinic policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patients, families, and staff.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing atmosphere, demonstrating empathy, patience, and compassion when working with children with diverse backgrounds and abilities.

 

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field.
  • Current state license or certification as a therapist (PT, OT, or SLP) in the respective discipline.
  • Prior experience working with pediatric populations is strongly preferred, including familiarity with various developmental disorders and conditions.
  • Excellent clinical skills and proficiency in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions tailored to the individual needs of each child.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinic environment.
  • Flexibility and availability to work on an as-needed basis, including evenings and weekends, to meet patient demand.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, adhering to ethical guidelines, and promoting a patient-centered approach to care.
