Job Overview:

  • The Machinist is an overtime-eligible, skilled craft position responsible for manufacturing precision parts that meet or exceed client standards, with minimal supervision.
  • Reporting to the Machine Shop Manager, the Machinist operates various equipment, determines machining operations, and ensures high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate manufacturing equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Select tooling, make setups, and develop machining processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performance and processes.
  • Conduct inspections at various stages of production.
  • Work from drawings, sketches, or instructions with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5-10 years of machining experience or equivalent training.
  • Ability to operate and adjust PROTO-TRAK machines.
  • Strong knowledge of tooling, fixtures, and machine setup.
  • Adherence to safety policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of CNC "G & M" codes and Fadal or Haas controllers.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands.
  • Capable of working in a loud production environment.
