UPM's rapidly growing Additive Manufacturing Sector is looking to add CNC Machinists to their 1st shift team.

**WORKING HOURS: **

2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 3:00pm - 1:30am

As a Machinist, you will:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on customer manufacturing specifications to create machine programming
  • Set up, troubleshoot, and operate machinery according to strict tolerances. Machines include Milling Centers, Blanchard Grinders, VTL and EDM.
  • Demonstrate expertise in fixture design and tooling
  • Examine and measure completed units, identifying defects and ensuring adherence to specifications; adjust machine controls to resolve production errors
  • Exercise strong problem-solving ability for the inspection and repair of machinery
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills Needed

  • 2+ years of experience using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools, and machines

  • Master operator of various types of machine tools to perform progressive machining

  • Ability to design and create proper fixturing. Ability to proficiently set up and use measuring equipment including CMM, CAD-Cam, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Calipers, Profilometers, etc.

  • Expert in reading and interpreting blueprints and design sketches

  • Ability to create and maintain updated work processes related to machining

  • Familiar with warehouse, manufacturing, or production planning environments

You should be proficient in:

  • Machine Setups for Production Runs
  • CAD/CAM Software
  • Blueprint Reading
  • Quality Inspection Experience
  • Troubleshooting CNC Machines
  • High School / GED
  • Shop Math Skills
  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  • AS9100 Experience
  • Basic Computer Skills
