Who we want:


We’re looking for a Seasonal Corporate Campaign Associate for the next three months who will be responsible for executing development strategies to secure funding for United Way. They will work closely with the Corporate Philanthropy team and also support the needs of the Community Giving, Grants, and Marketing teams. They will contribute to the overall Resource Development 2024 workplace campaign strategy, preparation, and initial implementation.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist in the implementation of the Corporate Philanthropy team’s annual strategy for workplace campaigns and employee giving
  • Assist the Individual Giving team with donor outreach and stewardship activities
  • Input and track all outreach and fundraising activities in Salesforce
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Philanthropy team to build a pipeline of new corporate funding prospects through research
  • Provide support for at least one volunteer project, such as Fall Day of Caring
  • Provide administrative support for United Way’s Resource Development department
  • Provide logistical support for United Way campaigns
    • Calling ECLs to complete company profile reports
    • Preparing and/or delivering materials
    • Completing administrative tasks related to company campaigns
  • Assist with Salesforce management by completing tasks such as:
    • Data entry/cleanup
    • Assist campaigners in completion of thank you notes or other correspondence as needed.
    • Opportunity entry management
    • Assist RD staff as needed
  • Lead logistics fundraising and volunteer activations by completing tasks such as:
    • Pickup donations and pledge forms from ECLs
    • Acquire and prepare materials for meetings
  • Research funding opportunities and assist in the completion of grant applications and proposals as needed
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team to assist in the development of various campaign collateral
  • Meet regularly with supervisor regarding program goals and initiatives
  • Attend United Way for Greater Austin events and activities and fosters significant pride and excitement for fundraising efforts

What you’ll bring:

  • A degree (Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or currently pursuing) in Political Science, Sociology, Public Administration, Communications, Business Management, Social Work, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment and juggle multiple priorities.
  • A positive, solutions-focused approach despite external situations.
  • Experience with fundraising CRM software (Preferred)
