Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Data Warehouse Architect to lead the design and development of our data warehouse solutions. The Data Warehouse Architect will play a critical role in defining the architecture, data modeling, and integration strategies for our enterprise data warehouse. This role requires expertise in data architecture, ETL processes, data modeling, and a deep understanding of data warehouse technologies and best practices.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and robust data warehouse solutions that meet business requirements and support data analytics and reporting needs.
  • Define data architecture principles, standards, guidelines, and best practices for data warehouse development.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and ETL processes for loading and transforming data into the data warehouse.
  • Optimize data warehouse performance through indexing strategies, partitioning, and query optimization techniques.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity within the data warehouse by implementing data governance and quality control processes.
  • Design and implement data integration strategies to consolidate data from multiple sources into the data warehouse.
  • Evaluate and recommend data warehouse technologies, tools, and frameworks based on project requirements and industry trends.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and developers working on data warehouse projects.
  • Collaborate with BI developers and analysts to design and deliver efficient and scalable BI solutions.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (X years) as a Data Warehouse Architect or similar role, designing and implementing enterprise data warehouse solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehouse concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with data modeling tools (e.g., ERwin, ER/Studio), ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend), and data integration techniques.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with cloud-based data warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift) is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, data security, and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data issues and provide solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
