Job DescriptionJob Description

Product Engineer:

Perform services as a product engineer for our company. The company specializes in the creation of complete LIDAR survey-grade mapping solutions. We build fully integrated UAV LIDAR systems combined with their hardware & software for organizations seeking to digitize the physical world whether it be for surveying, archeology, film and more. Our Product Engineer will support the development of new UAV and Terrestrial LIDAR solutions for the company portfolio.

RequirementsDuties include responsibilities in the area of optical sensors and their integration to UAV and Terrestrial LIDAR Systems active in the entire product cycle, including design, testing & full-scale production while ensuring quality control standards are achieved throughout the life cycle of the product. Specific duties include:
  • Integrate new laser sensors and cameras to the company product line;
  • Ensure product quality by selecting materials, production methods and technically personnel;
  • Design and develop mew products functionality and usage;
  • Make critical design decisions that ensure corer system functionality meets customer expectations for survey grade quality and precision;
  • Assemble and test integrated LIDAR system prototypes;
  • Inspect, troubleshoot and repair returned LIDAR systems;
  • Prepare technical documents and schematics including but not limited to user manuals and productions SOPS.
  • Oversee and instruct personnel (as and when required) during the system production process;
  • Circuit board design;
  • Verification of system schematics and design decisions;
  • integration of cameras and sensors;
  • Electrical analysis of system components as small as 0402 and QFN package using soldering irons and heat guns.
  • Work in a CAD environment and Linux Operation system.

Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and six (6) months of experience as an Electrical Engineer or Product Engineer.

Salary: $78,187/yr
