Intern, Training and Development

The MWRA Training and Development department has a paid Intern position and is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform a variety of administrative tasks, and assist Training and Development staff in the maintenance of LMS (Learning Management System) records and in the development of online courses. In addition, this position will support the Training and Development Department in it's day-to-day course development and training coordination.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and recommend LinkedIn Learning classes for professional development, leadership, project management, diversity, and other topics.
  • Assist in the development of curriculum for various departments or groups of employees.
  • Assist in the creation of online course content.
  • Supports all routine administrative functions, including organizing records.
  • Management of spreadsheets for tracking course registrations, attendance, and completion.
  • Assist training instructors on the collection of sign-in sheets, audio-visual set up, and training room preparation.

Qualifications:

  • College Junior or Senior education in a human resources or management major.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with WebEx Meeting and WebEx Training (or similar web meeting and conferencing tools).
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and accomplish task with minimal supervision.
  • Pursuit of a college degree.

  • Work Location: MWRA, 2 Griffin Way, Chelsea, MA 02150 and 190 Tafts Ave, Winthrop, MA 02152
  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM to 4:00PM, schedule some days may vary.
  • Internship duration: May - August.
