REQUIREMENTS TO COACH

To be cleared to volunteer coach applicants must pass a background check and obtain the following certificates:  

  • Sexual Harrasment Training
  • Concussions in sports
  • Sudden Cardiac Arrest
  • Heat Illness
  • Mandated Reporting Certificate
  • Bloodborne Pathogens training
  • Youth Suicide Training
  • Negative TB Test
  • First Aid/CPR Certificate
  • Valid Drivers Licensce

 

The Board of Trustees desires to employ highly qualified coaches for the district's sports and interscholastic athletic programs in order to enhance the knowledge, skills, motivation, and safety of student athletes.

The coach of an athletic team is primarily responsible for the compliance of his/her squad members to the rules, regulations, and policies governing athletics at his/her assigned school. Compliance is enhanced when athletes are informed of and understand the policies. All coaches are directly responsible to the Athletic Director and Administrator at his/her school for the application of these rules and regulations.
