Part Time: 10-30 hours/week, no benefits

If so, LAUNCH invites you to join out team as a Direct Support Professional for our Community Habilitation program.


About the Role

As a Direct Support Professional, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in our Community Habilitation program. This vital program offers one-on-one or small group services designed to cultivate independent living skills both at home and within the community.


LAUNCH is different than other agencies As a LAUNCH DSP, you will be scheduled for and will be paid for the number of hours you are hired for. We will help find additional clients for you to support if your client cancels. Other agencies don't provide that support to their staff All work in the community working on skill building, no personal care or dispensing of medicine required. Flexible hours to work around your schedule.


Employee Discounts, appreciation events and referral bonus available. You will also be eligible for staff bonuses in July and December based on the number of hours you work.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing life skills tailored to each individual’s goals, such as cooking, cleaning, and socialization.
  • Implementing goal-driven services outlined in each participant's Life Plan.
  • Conducting assessments to identify skills, needs, and interests to tailor services accordingly.
  • Creating a supportive learning environment conductive to the unique needs and interest of adult learners.
  • Ability to meet physical and mental requirement.
  • Carry out all duties according to Agency, Program and other NYS OPWDD policies and regulations.

Education & Experience

A high school diploma, experience working with individuals with various disabilities preferred. No experience, but have an interest in supporting those with disabilities? Tell us about why you are interested and we will train you

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

We're looking for individuals with a diverse skill set, including effective communication, time management, critical thinking, basic technology proficiency, and strong written and verbal expression.


Conditions of Employment

Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
