Position Overview:

The QuickBase Applications Developer ensures successful implementation of QuickBase software technology within CBH for data capture, workflow management, and other internal CBH and external CBH partner applications. The position requires extensive experience in developing and maintaining medium to complex QuickBase applications within the context of CBH business, compliance, clinical, and other operational needs.

The position also requires collaboration, communication, and negotiation skills across multiple CBH departments as needed to ensure complete understanding of requirements and successful implementation of QuickBase applications. Additional experience in application development using other technologies for SQL Server Databases is also highly desired, although QuickBase will be the primary development technology platform for this position.

The developer will develop, test, and implement thoughtful and cost-effective software solutions and applications in support of CBH’s strategic initiatives. They will lead the technical implementation of applications and interface with various departments in the organization.

  • Assist in assuring both internal and external program integrity by being alert to and reporting suspected instances of provider and employee fraud, waste or abuse.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop a clear understanding of the data needs and uses as relates to the specific application as well as the larger context within which data is needed and used in by CBH.
  • Develop new custom QuickBase applications to meet the various business needs, focusing on data capture applications with the understanding that the data will be governed and will need to eventually be consumed by a CBH reporting database layer and/or CBH Data Warehouse environment.
  • Work with Data Capture team to translate business requirements and/or functional specifications into technical solutions.
  • Create and present workflow diagrams and build/present proof of concept to ensure understanding is aligned with actual application requirements.
  • Maintain existing QuickBase applications to expand or refine functionality as needed.
  • Carries out systematic problem identification, analysis, and resolution.
  • Create technical documentation as requested.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: BS in Computer Science or related field
  • Relevant Work Experience: At least five years overall professional experience designing, developing and testing software applications
  • At least 3 years expertise in QuickBase software technology development or similar technologies

Technical Skills:

  • Production support experience required
  • SQL and SSIS experience is a plus
  • Healthcare experience is a plus
  • Web-Based technologies

Work Conditions:

  • Requires on-call and on-site off hours support during overnight hours, weekends and holidays to ensure 24/7 operations.
  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Regularly requires walking, standing, stooping, bending, sitting, reaching, pushing, pulling and/or repetitive wrist/hand movements for various lengths of time throughout the day.
  • Ability to utilize computers and office equipment to complete daily work responsibilities.
  • Regularly works inside in areas that are adequately lighted and ventilated. Some fluctuation in temperature. No protective equipment routinely needed.
  • Must be able to adapt to continuous changes/demands of the job.

Philadelphia Residency Requirement:

  • The successful candidate must be a current Philadelphia resident or become a resident within six months of hire.
