THIS IS A PLANNED POSITION

Overview: As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust security measures throughout our software development lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security practices seamlessly into our DevOps processes, ensuring the delivery of secure and high-quality software products/services.  
Responsibilities: 
  • Implement security best practices within DevOps workflows to ensure secure software development, testing, and deployment. 
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to design, build, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks in applications and infrastructure. 
  • Automate security controls and compliance checks using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. 
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. 
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures. 
  • Work closely with teams to enforce security policies, standards, and procedures. 
  • Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to enhance security measures proactively. 
Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 
  • 3-5 years of experience in DevOps, with a focus on security (DevSecOps). 
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. 
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, etc.) and version control systems (Git). 
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). 
  • Familiarity with security tools like IDS/IPS, WAF, vulnerability scanners, and SIEM solutions. 
  • Strong understanding of security protocols, encryption techniques, and secure coding practices. 
  • Certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar are a plus. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
