Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Quality Assurance Engineer to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automated testing and proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript. As an Automation QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using scripting languages like Python or JavaScript.
  • Implement and maintain robust automated testing frameworks to support CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) pipelines.
  • Collaborate closely with developers to identify testable scenarios and automate test cases for new features and functionalities.
  • Execute automated tests, analyze results effectively, and report defects to development teams in a clear and concise manner.
  • Continuously identify areas for improvement in test automation processes and work towards achieving optimal test coverage.
  • Partner with QA analysts and developers to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Actively participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, and retrospectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, with a strong focus on automation testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or JavaScript for test automation.
  • Working experience with popular automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, etc.) is a plus.
  • In-depth understanding of software testing methodologies (e.g., black-box testing, white-box testing) and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working independently and collaboratively as needed.
