Job Summary:

The maintenance technician will be responsible for upkeep and maintenance of our snowmaking equipment, with safe and efficient projects and processes in place.  This is great position for someone looking for a different avenue for their already established mechanic skills. There is opportunity for year-round for the right candidate dependent on skills and experience.

 

Job Specifications: 

  • Expected Pay Range: $23.00 - $27.94 / hour
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time, Year Round
  • Skill Level: Advanced 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for personal safety and the safety of fellow employees and guests throughout all operations.
  • Constant communication with Supervisor and Snowmaking Leads regarding equipment repairs and maintenance, Snowmaking tasks and work load of the department.
  • Complete projects assigned by the Snowmaking Supervisor and assist in accomplishing Team Lead requests.
  • Document maintenance of Snowmaking equipment with up to date record keeping.
  • Safe and efficient operation of trucks, snowmobiles, snow cats and all snowmaking equipment.
  • Install, maintain, and repair all Snowmaking equipment with the ability understand and assist crew with snowmaking operations.
  • Proactive eye for detail with equipment maintenance and general housekeeping duties.
  • Operates in a special environment with required knowledge of trade-specific tools and terminology.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, utilize power tools and welding equipment.
  • Be familiar and/or able to be trained to work with turbo air compressors, vertical centrifugal water pumps, fan guns, air/water guns, low–e guns and the automation of the previous listed equipment.
  • Be able and/or trained to use a multi-meter to trouble shoot equipment and electrical circuits.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements:

  • Must be fluent in English written and verbal – required
  • Must have at least one year snow making experience – preferred
  • Must have a valid driver license and acceptable MVR report– required
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent - required
  • Experience with fan gun and other snow gun maintenance - preferred
  • Welding experience or certification – preferred
  • Ski or ride at an intermediate level - preferred
  • Microsoft Office skills - preferred

 

The expected pay range is $23.00 - $27.94. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
