Job Summary: The Financial Risk Manager will be responsible for assessing and managing the financial risks faced by the organization. This role involves developing risk management strategies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial risk management, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex risk concepts effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate financial risks related to credit, market, liquidity, and operational activities. Analyze potential impacts and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Risk Management Strategy: Develop and implement risk management frameworks and policies to manage and reduce financial risk exposure.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present risk reports to senior management, including risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and recommendations.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards related to financial risk management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including finance, compliance, and internal audit, to integrate risk management practices into business processes.
  • Modeling and Forecasting: Utilize financial models and forecasting techniques to predict potential risks and their impact on the organization.
  • Crisis Management: Develop and execute risk response plans to address financial crises or unexpected risk events.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) or relevant certification (FRM, CFA) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial risk management or a related role. Experience in [specific industry, if applicable] is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and financial models. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of financial risk management principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in financial analysis software and risk management tools. Advanced Excel skills are required.
