Detailed Description
City Post Chophouse is an upscale restaurant in downtown Georgetown, Texas. Located in the historic post office, City Post offers guests a variety of experiences, including a full-service bar and oyster bar, along with lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch service, as well as private and semi-private dining options for larger groups. Our underground speakeasy will offer an upscale handcrafted cocktail bar, cigar lounge, and live music, with ambiance and decor reflecting the 1920s and 30s. Our handcrafted cocktails will be inspired by iconic staples from the time period with a modern twist using creative techniques and ingredients. The cigar lounge will allow daily and annual members to buy and smoke cigars in our private room.
Job Summary:
- Responsible for daily speakeasy operations.
- Lead and manage team member performance including scheduling, coaching, corrective action, etc.
- Exemplify company values at all times.
- Ordering and inventory management.
- Participate in staff training, including steps of service, food and beverage knowledge, etc.
- Must be a self-starter, team player, team leader, and motivator.
- Perform daily checklists for health and safety standards.
- Must be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the speakeasy as directed by the chef or general manager.
Compensation:
Salary is dependent on experience and determination of final job requirements.
Abilities Required:
Craft cocktail bartender/manager experience. Ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with a friendly disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Be a team player and assist colleagues with duties as needed. Ability to understand and communicate effectively with guests. Ability to recognize, remember, and personally greet VIPs/Members. Ability to remember, recite, and promote key menu items and specials. Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers, and patrons.
