We have an exciting opportunity for a Java Software Engineer with our industry-leading client.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $115k / yr. w2

Responsibilities:

  • Contributing member on an Agile team supporting the technical leadership and center of excellence within the business.
  • Providing mentoring to the team of developers and tech leads with specific emphasis on sound fundamental development methodology.
  • Providing leadership on project development policies, procedures, standards and strategies.
  • Participating in the team’s effort to improve the efficiency and quality of the entire development process.
  • Leading the team in technical guidance and mentoring junior team members.
  • Coordinating and leading research into new technologies independently, as part of a team and with the Architecture team to make judgement and recommendations for future releases.
  • Contributing to a teamwork environment by actively participating in peer project reviews, code reviews, design reviews and being available to help others when needed.
  • Work collaboratively to continually improve processes to help us deliver high quality solutions at lower cost

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of development experience - Spring boot/spring batch/spring framework, Java 8 or 11 and Microservices
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Solid understanding of REST concepts and developing REST API’s using Spring boot with Tomcat
  • Solid grasp of Java 8 capabilities, lambda, streams and functional interfaces,
  • Proven working experience and understanding using spring modules, including IOC, MVC(Rest), BATCH, spring boot along with other core components like oauth2 and security
  • Working experience with Relational databases for example Postgres SQL

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.

W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
