PURPOSE OF POSITION

Responsible for clinical case management including assessments and supervision of all clinical programming for assigned clients using Applied Behavior Analysis and ASD specific instructional techniques. Responsible for designing and managing the data collection, graphing and analysis of data; support through direct implementation of programming as needed; and for providing direction to and training of Lead Facilitators and Program Facilitators (RBTs). Additionally responsible in part for providing formal supervision and direct training for BACB supervisees and RBTs seeking certification in Behavior Analysis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Supervise clinical staff, including professional development, performance management, and ensure adherence to program clinical expectations, policies, procedures and processes through direct feedback.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, design relative treatment plan, goals and programming in line with assessment results.
  • Design and oversee data-driven programming and intervention for assigned clients based on industry best-practice standards and progress made towards achievement of client goals.
  • Actively lead and participate in meetings, training and professional development opportunities specific to both clients and RBTs.

Demonstrate proficient knowledge of ASD and ABA instructional methodologies.

  • Conduct Case Management of clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Masters degree in special education, applied behavior analysis, psychology or a related field.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • State licensure for KS and MO.
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge of ASD and ABA instructional methodologies.
  • Experience working with individual with autism spectrum disorders or relative developmental disabilities.
  • 2-5+ years of experience working with children in an educational or clinical environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to express and exchange ideas effectively.
  • Exceptional problem solving skills related to behavior assessment and response.
  • Skills to identify patterns or connections between situations that are not obviously related and to identify key or underlying issues in complex situations utilizing creativity, conceptual reasoning and inductive reasoning.
  • Formal Supervision experience with professionals and/or BCBA/BCaBAs preferred.
  • Active in-network status with various private commercial insurance panels in KS and MO preferred.
  • Able to respond to crisis and conflict with confidence and professionalism.

LANGUAGE ABILITY

Must have excellent interpersonal, oral, record keeping and written communication skills. The employee must have the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of written and verbal communication with both internal and external entities. The employee must have the ability to convey and receive detailed information or important instructions to and from various sources. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Advanced ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. This position requires an ability to calculate standard comparison measures such as percent difference, reduction, increase and utilization, perform variance analysis within trends and performance measures.

COGNITIVE DEMANDS

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. .Problem areas include but are not limited to: implementing clinical recommendation parameters effectively, problem solving last minute or time-sensitive changes, understanding authorization limitations as they pertain to scheduling, clients needs and recommendations for services, etc.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of industry specific software, industry specific systems and other web-based software programs, Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
