Job Description

The Research & Development (R&D) Chemist is responsible for the coordination of assigned R&D projects. This role will review all reported data, summarize, make recommendations for experimental design, and develop weekly targets as per the Director of R&D guidance.


Responsibilities

Work in a team of experienced EnergyX scientists in research and development focused on disruptive materials, processes, and engineering systems to fundamentally transform the energy industry.  Specific responsibilities include:

 

  • Ensure that project team are organized with assigned work, current work and reports of completed work.
  • Ensure all work that is conducted is inline with the development needs of the company.
  • Collaborate to design the most efficient tests and project design.
  • Provide direction and training to technicians.


Basic Qualifications

  • PhD (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or Minerals Engineering).
  • Minimum 5 years of laboratory work and project management.
  • Industry Research experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to review work, write summaries, and present pertinent information.
  • Must understand commercial R&D needs versus academic.
