The Dietary Aideis responsible for processing diet orders, assisting patients with menu selections, and distinguishing between food and medication allergies.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and customer service/call center, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a commitment to patient care. This role is crucial in ensuring that our patients receive nutritious, well-presented meals that comply with their dietary restrictions and preferences.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Accurately portion meals, considering dietary restrictions and presentation.
  • Support food service areas including cashier, stocking, cleaning, tray service, dishwashing, and storage.
  • Ensure menu selections comply with dietary orders, nutritional adequacy, cultural and religious practices.
  • Obtain menu choices via phone or patient visits; ensure correct meal preparation.
  • Process menu selections using computerized systems; update patient information.
  • Communicate with dietitians and modify menus as needed.


Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent – Required
  • Valid Food Handler’s Certification-Required
  • Proof of Varicella, MMR, and Tdap immunization-Required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent customer service call center experience and food service worker experience.Required
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Healthcare or hospital setting experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutrition a plus as well.
