REPORTS TO: SHAREHOLDER/MANAGING ATTORNEY

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

This is a transactional attorney position with a practice focused on residential and commercial real estate. The attorney in this position will manage a portfolio of non-contested court actions; including judicial foreclosure actions, unlawful detainer actions and writs of assistance, replevin actions and interpleader actions. Additionally, this position will review real estate title searches, assist with curing title defects, drafting documents used for title curative actions, curing probate and deceased debtor issues, researching and distributing excess proceeds from foreclosure sales, and communicating with clients, debtors, and attorneys.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Review client referrals and documentation to ensure compliance with all State and Federal statutes and regulations;

2. Review and analyze real estate title searches to discover title issues that may prevent marketable title;

3. Resolve real estate title issues to ensure the client is provided with marketable title post-foreclosure;

4. Drafts requisite documentation utilized in judicial foreclosure, eviction, replevin and interpleader actions;

5. Review work product of staff (comprised of legal assistants and processors) for accuracy;

6. Communicate with clients through a combination of phone, email and client database systems;

7. Maintain a current knowledge of any trends, regulations or legislation affecting the assigned area of practice;

8. Performs additional duties as requested.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

1. Juris Doctorate;

2. Licensed to practice law in the State of Arkansas;

3. Five (5) years of experience in real estate law or a relevant area of practice;

4. Licensed to practice law in the State of Tennessee is a plus;

5. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail;

6. Excellent oral and written communication skills;

7. Excellent organizational, planning and prioritization skills;

8. Ability to work through complex real estate matters;

9. Must be PC literate and able to rapidly adapt to a variety of data base systems;

10. Ability to represent the company in various forums to foster the desires and image of the company in the community.
