About Your Team:
We seek a Data Scientist to develop, maintain, and enhance quantitative models for anomalous activity detection and AML surveillance.
What will be your responsibilities within IBKR:
- Help design, calibrate and enhance the firm's AML and financial crime-related surveillance reports.
- Identify patterns of potentially suspicious activity through a review of client data.
- Apply statistical analysis to calibrate the firm's surveillance alerts to more accurately identify potentially suspicious activity for review by AML analysts.
- Refine business requirements and develop programming specifications from them.
Which skills are required:
- Experience with AML and BSA regulations
- Master's or PhD in Statistics or a Quantitative Field
- Python programming experience
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with AML or financial transaction modeling
- Knowledge of financial markets, preferably in cashiering surveillance
- Understanding of databases and SQL
