Position Summary:We are seeking an experienced Process Technician to set up and operate injection-molding machines, producing products from thermoplastic materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of material handling, product management, and inventory control in a manufacturing environment. This position requires proficiency in operating manufacturing equipment and handling related materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare injection-molding machines for startup and handle end-of-run activities, ensuring production quality.
  • Monitor and remove rejects from the production line, grinding them as needed.
  • Verify the operation of dryers and loaders, checking at least once per hour.
  • Understand and apply proper mold clamping and watering processes.
  • Store all materials correctly, following approved guidelines.
  • Install and remove molds as per instructions, ensuring safe handling and storage.
  • Set up and maintain robots and end-of-arm tools (EOAT).
  • Perform timely color and material changes according to the production schedule.
  • Apply correct labeling to bins, boxes, and machines.
  • Ensure proper use of tools and equipment, such as KO rods, nozzle tips, and torque wrenches.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including lock-out/tag-out procedures and equipment operation guidelines.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as loaders, dryers, color machines, moisture analyzers, and grinders.
  • Read and understand the production schedule and Mattec/Plantstar systems.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, supporting efficient changeovers.
  • Use and maintain all safety apparel and equipment as required.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • General knowledge of resin properties and basic mold functions, including core sequences, hot-runner systems, and ejectors.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work with industrial machines.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Certified Overhead Crane Operator.
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus.

Physical Demands:This position involves frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and requires repetitive bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, standing, and sitting, with or without accommodation.
