Primary Responsibilities:

Qualified Mental Health Professionals are required to assist children and adolescents in the development and coordination of Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and a variety of interventions. The activities associated with this primary responsibility by the Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) are:

  • Coordinate and lead interactive sessions for individuals enrolled in Intensive In-Home
  • Assist in the initial development and ongoing revision of Individual Service Plan
  • Monitor implementation of Individual Service Plan
  • Fulfill case management functions and provide linkage to resources
  • Submit all required documentation based on required timeframes
  • Maintain continuous contact with the identified individual and other key stakeholders’ of the individual (with signed authorization to release information) in planning and service delivery
  • Complete other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or higher degree in the Human Service field
  • Valid registration with the Virginia Board of Counseling as a Qualified Mental Health Professional-Trainee (QMHP-T) or a Qualified Mental Health Professional-Child (QMHP-C)
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background and central registry check
  • Valid Driver’s License and relaible transportation
  • Current auto insurance
  • Current TB screening
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
