This position is based in the metro New York area, building and maintaining relationships with grocery retail managers, key distributors and broker partners. Location: Remote based in the Metro New York area with up to 50% travel

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conducting in-person sales calls and face-to-face meetings with potential and existing retailers.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with grocery retail managers, key distributors and broker partners.
  • Ensure proper execution of all chain promotional activities at store level – including, but not limited to: communication with chain management, securing and building displays, maintaining proper levels of inventory, planogram execution, and point-of-sale distribution.
  • Provide marketing support to all distributor partners and retailers through participation in-store demos and events.
  • Achieving assigned quarterly volume and distribution goals to support the company’s annual sales goals.
  • Developing and maintaining supportive, productive and effective relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Reviewing your market’s sales and providing updates to the team weekly.
  • Demonstrating a strong work ethic and representing the company with high integrity, ethics, honesty, loyalty and professionalism.
  • Maintaining records of all sales leads for all accounts through Karma/VIP.
  • Monitoring the company’s industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand a customer’s specific needs.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of sales experience within CPG, preferably beverage.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, startup environments.
  • Must have a reliable car and a willingness to commute across NY, NJ, CT, and surrounding areas for store visits.
  • Ideal candidate is familiar with the NY Metro market.
  • Experience working with UNFI and the Hudson Valley DC.
  • Prior experience managing large and small distributors.
  • Required Computer skills include: Google Slide or Powerpoint, Excel, Word, VIP and Karma.
  • Must be goal-oriented, able to adapt to challenges, manage workload and get results.
  • Collaborative, forward-thinking, and flexible.
  • Needs to be able to work well with others in fast-paced environments.
