Duration: 12 Months

Location: North Fargo, ND 58102

Shift: 2nd shift hours are 1 pm - 9 pm Central (will train on 1st shift for a few weeks)

Job Description:

  • Monitors functioning lab tests, performs simple corrective actions, and contacts the appropriate individual when required.
  • Cleans up as time allows.
  • Metatarsal boots required.

Job Duties:

  • Perform inspection and tests as necessary to determine the cause of defective electronic assemblies with instruction.
  • Document and maintain records relating to work performed.
  • Inform supervisor of process or design problems and assist in the corrective action.
  • Conduct manual tests of electronic circuits and PCBs according to engineering instructions.
  • Communicate with others in a professional and effective manner.
  • Update test documentation when required for prototype products.
  • Provide training to less experienced technicians when required.
  • Perform other associated tasks as required by their supervisor and manager.

Required Education:

  • A.S. in Electronics or a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification, or equivalent experience.

Required Skills:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling correspondence with internal departments and vendors.
  • Working knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Understanding of troubleshooting methodologies to identify root cause.
  • Knowledge of test equipment, e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Ability to read basic engineering documents, e.g., schematics or diagrams.
  • Ability to comprehend product/process component datasheets.
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble products.
  • Ability to maintain lab equipment.
  • Ability to perform basic mechanical work.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum one year of related experience required.
  • Three or more years of related experience preferred.
  • A.S. in Electronics or a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification, or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of troubleshooting methodologies to identify root cause.
  • Knowledge of test equipment, e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
