Location: Brookhaven, Pennsylvania

Type of Position: Full-time high school role

About the role:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders regarding your students’ functional communication and development of life skills.
  • Implement AAC and conduct interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure AAC implementation across services.
  • Provide therapy using a variety of service delivery models including classroom push-in.
  • Determine eligibility of students for speech therapy services and clearly identify necessary classroom accommodations.
  • Provide appropriate speech and language intervention for eligible students.
  • Navigate the dismissal process for students who are no longer eligible for speech and language services.
  • Participates in team meetings for the development of students’ individualized education programs.
  • Completes relevant paperwork within required timelines per federal and state law, district policy, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • School-based and/or pediatric experience.
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Valid PA SLP license from the Pennsylvania Board of Speech-Language Pathologists.
  • Valid PA Education Specialist Certificate from the Pennsylvania Department of Education
