We are excited to add a Payroll Specialist position to work with our management team in our corporate office.

Purpose

The Payroll Specialist will work with our team members of various locations to perform and monitor specific aspects of the organization’s payroll and time and attendance functions . This position is responsible to ensure that pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local government regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Performs periodic audits to verify company policies and procedures are maintained.
  • Work closely with management team members to complete various projects.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of the payroll function to include preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with payroll software platforms.
  • Ability to effectively present information to team members and management.
Education and Experience
At least 3 years of recent payroll compliance and HRIS experience. Prior experience with time and attendance systems. Recent and proficient skills and experience with Microsoft Suite software. High School diploma or equivalent required. Some college education preferred.
