About the Asheville Community Program: The Asheville Community Program supports individuals with mental health challenges by fostering independence through a personalized, community-focused transitional living environment. Our program is designed to empower residents to manage their mental health and achieve personal development goals in a setting that emphasizes mental wellness and independent living skills.

Program Focus: While we are committed to supporting mental wellness, it's important to note that our program is specifically tailored to assist with mental health challenges and is not a substance abuse recovery facility. Our approach is centered on providing a supportive community for personal growth and independence in daily living.

Location: Asheville, NC

Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Wednesday-Saturday or Sunday-Wednesday schedules
  • Requires a minimum of 3 overnight-asleep shifts per two-week period
  • Two overnight shifts one week and one overnight shift the alternating week

Pay: Starting at $15.00 per hour and increasing based on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the residents in meeting their goals and oversee all aspects of community living
  • Support residents with meal prep, grocery shopping, chores, medication management, host outings/events, and mediate conflicts
  • Complete weekly notes, emails, and routine paperwork in a timely manner
  • Active participation in Community Program meetings

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent life experience
  • At least 21 years of age or older, a valid driver’s license, and an acceptable driving record are required to be on our company car insurance
