Join Our Client's Compassionate Team as a Direct Care Worker

This position is an as needed supplemental position (On-call) with the opportunity to grow into a permanent position.

Salary: 18.00

Schedule:

Evenings and Weekends

Overview:As a Direct Care Worker, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the daily lives of clients, including the elderly, individuals with developmental or physical disabilities, and those undergoing rehabilitation. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about providing compassionate care and support, and who thrives in a role that demands empathy, interpersonal skills, and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily activities such as moving around their homes, personal hygiene, dressing, and eating.
  • Manage and administer prescribed medications and ensure adherence to dietary restrictions.
  • Support rehabilitation exercises and basic independent living skills training.
  • Engage in household tasks including meal preparation, light cleaning, and running errands.
  • Offer emotional support and companionship, organizing activities that enhance the quality of life for those you care for.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and their families to ensure their needs are met.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Caring individuals with a high school diploma and an Associate's Degree or certification such as a Nurse's Aide or Nursing Assistant.
  • A background in successfully completing relevant training programs and certifications.
  • Professionals who demonstrate patience, compassion, and the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Candidates who are detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and can handle emergency situations with calmness and clarity.

Working Conditions:

  • Varied environments, from private homes and schools to hospitals and residential facilities.
  • Flexible shifts, including potential for night and rotating shifts, catering to the needs of our clients.

Pre-Hire Requirements:

  • Compliance with CDC guidelines for TB testing and a recent physical exam.
  • Background checks covering criminal history, adult/child abuse, and drug testing.
  • Provision of professional references or service letters.
