POSITION SUMMARY: Plans, organizes, and manages hansgrohe branded Shower & Accessories Category products from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet sales, financial and corporate growth targets by performing the following duties:

Primary Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Champion of Shower Category (Showers, Trims, Drains) products and Bath Accessories for hansgrohe brand in the North American market – formulates and executes approved category strategy and product development plans leveraging corporate core competencies that meet market needs and long-term sales performance goals

· Owns the entire launch and lifecycle of showering & accessories products from initial market research and comprehension, to establishing technical, regulatory, and other product requirements with R&D and Design teams, to developing business cases incl. ROI calculations, to cross-departmental and transatlantic coordination leveraging Hansgrohe’s comprehensive product launch process (stage-gate) ensuring a successful and on time launch, to product lifecycle management incl. phase out.

· Aligns shower & accessories category strategies within the Portfolio, together with product management colleagues and leadership

· Analyzes the portfolio’s efficacy against marketplace and business requirements through competitive research, voice of customer, market trends and technology review, external environment review and projection, direct customer feedback, and organizational reporting

· Drives end-consumer insights, seizes identified business opportunities, and closes/corrects assortment gaps by maintaining and executing an informed long-range plan (LRP)

· Determines and manages effective pricing, positioning product(s) within the overall product category, channel strategy, and competitive marketplace, to ensure sales performance

· Regular coordination with Project Leaders, Product Planners, Production Planning, Finance, Quality, Marketing, and Sales departments

· Coordinates realistic sales forecasting and ROI Calculations during new product development

· Creates comprehensive product design and function requirements for R&D

· Defines go-to-market strategy and collaborates with sales and marketing in optimization and execution

· Conducts product development utilizing the Organization’s stage gate process

· Maintains sales-per-SKU efficiency and integrates the LRP through regular product life cycle planning and sales planning

· Fosters and maintains open and effective communication channels between product offices & Germany HQ, supporting business functions

· Coordinates baseline product messaging/story and product knowledge transfer to Marketing, Merchandising, and Sales/Customer Service departments

· Supports the development of product display program for Showrooms, Shows & Events as required

· Reviews and generates product specification solutions specific to the GP sales function, and develops customized requirements as needed

· Integrates the compliance management function into organizational processes and procedures for product development, together with Compliance Manager and Germany headquarters

· Serves as key product requirements contact together with Compliance Manager

· “Good Attendance” as per the Hansgrohe Attendance Policy

· Other duties as assigned contributing to organizational success

Communication and Language Skills

· Fluent spoken and written English language skills are required. German language skills are highly beneficial for this role to efficiently communicate with all stakeholders in the language (either German or English) they speak and/or understand.

· Ability to read, analyze and interpret industry publications, technical publications, external and internal reports, and legal and regulatory documents

· Ability to appropriately respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

· Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups and/or boards of directors.

Knowledge and Skills

· Sound experience in developing consumer goods product programs, comprehensive strategies and leading cross-functional teams

· Interface effectively with production/manufacturing, sales, and finance

· Experience and familiarity with plumbing and sanitary industry

· Experience in leveraging project management software to oversee product development with an appropriately detailed stage gate process

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of experience in product management.

· Engineering skills, product area and market knowledge; SAP experience.
