Responsibilities
- Prep and apply spray in bedliners to vehicles, following proper procedures
- Light techincal responsibilities
- Install aftermarket parts
- Prep and spray aftermarket parts
- Service and maintain shop equipment
- Utilize protective supplies as appropriate to ensure cleanliness of vehicle.
- Operate lifting and moving devices to move materials and equipment and access areas.
- Responsible for cleaning, sanding, and applying chemical solutions to prepare and condition surfaces prior to painting.
- Mask and cover surfaces not to be painted; removing accessories such as chrome, mirrors and windshield wipers.
- Mix and thin paint or other coating to specified color and consistency according to standard formulas or color charts.
- Spray specified amount or thickness of primer, protective, decorative, or finish coatings, such as paint, lacquer, sealer, or enamel, onto prepared surfaces.
Qualifications
- Education and/or experience in paint repair
- A high school diploma or the equivalent
- Understanding and compliance with safety rules and practices as well as posted work rules and procedures
- Positive outlook with a high-energy personality
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions
- Ability to exercise good judgment and critical thinking
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
