Job Summary:

Bauer Foundation Corp. is searching for a Staff Accountant to assist with accounts payable functions, general ledger account reconciliations, weekly check run reporting and other accounting responsibilities. The position will appeal to individuals who are highly motivated, self-starters, detail oriented and enjoy working within multiple disciplines of the accounting profession.


The Staff Accountant will report to the Corporate Controller and will interact with other members of the accounting department and across the company.


Responsibilities:

  • Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
  • Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry
  • Generate purchase orders when necessary
  • Run a weekly check run
  • Update the weekly cash sheet
  • Filing and other administrative functions as needed
  • Research and reconcile all discrepancies.
  • Work with project teams to resolve job cost queries.
  • Perform assigned balance sheet accounts reconciliations
  • Identify, recommend and implement process improvements to the flow of information
  • Prepare sales and property tax remittances.
  • Other financial and profitability analysis as required.
  • To become in-house expert on SAP Business One.
Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and partner information
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Experience in accounts payable (or accounts receivable)
  • Experience with accounting software and online platforms

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a job costing environment, preferably in the heavy construction industries.
  • Experience with and understanding of job cost accounting.
  • Experience with SAP Business One is preferred.
  • Well organized with ability to manage multiple priorities while working towards tight deadlines.
  • Superior analytical & problem solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
