Overview of Position

Hittle Landscaping is a fast-growing landscape company headquartered in Westfield with multiple branch locations. We are seeking an enthusiastic full-time HR & Payroll Specialist to support our Admin team. This position will champion our payroll process and assist with other HR related duties on an administrative level.

Responsibilities

As an HR & Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing weekly payroll for employees of a 250-employee organization.
  • Maintaining personnel database regarding salaries and employee personnel files.
  • Resolving employee questions/complaints regarding payroll.
  • Assist with recruiting for current openings utilizing innovative sourcing to attract top talent through our ATS software (Hireology), Indeed, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter and other platforms including posting on company’s social media accounts.
  • Help lead our employee onboarding experience, including new hire paperwork and orientation presentation.
  • Providing administrative support in benefits, workers compensation, unemployment claims and other HR tasks.
  • Representing the organization at job fairs and recruiting events.
  • Promoting the Hittle culture, focusing on providing an outstanding experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Other duties as assigned by the HR Manager.

 

To ensure success as an HR & Payroll Specialist, you should have knowledge of payroll processing, recruitment techniques including social media, a general understanding of HR procedures, confidentiality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multi-task.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year processing payroll.
  • Minimum of 2 years in an HR support role including benefits, workers compensation and new hire onboarding process.
  • Must be bilingual in Spanish.
  • Genuine desire to help people and steward the Hittle Culture
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in rapidly changing environment.
  • Tech-savvy and social media skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience recruiting in landscaping or the Trades a plus.

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
