Premier Medical Resources is hiring for a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Webster, TX. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant functions as a clinical provider maintaining and promoting the health of the patient requiring acute care. Affects direct patient care according to clinical guidelines outlined by the State of Texas

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Provide medical services to patients, inclusive of all functions necessary to provide medical care under the direction of the physician
• Conducts comprehensive health assessments (initial, ongoing, discharge), identifies normal/abnormal health characteristics, develops plan of care, initiates appropriate interventions, and evaluates care outcomes on defined patient populations(s)
• Performs delegated functions under physician supervision, such as differential diagnosis, use of prescriptive authority, and treatment according to practice guidelines, protocols, and/or standing orders.  Accepts accountability for outcomes in health care
• Uses critical thinking skills and clinical judgement to work autonomously. Collaborates with the Physician and healthcare team members to manage/coordinate patient care
• Record accurate consultation data in patients' records
• Charting in the patient's medical record is routinely to be completed on the same day as the patient's visit
• Instigate necessary invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests or investigations and interpret findings/reports
• Provide safe, evidence-based, cost-effective, individualized patient care
• Contribute to the practice achieving its quality targets to sustain the high standards of patient care and service delivery
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the practice
• Follow all internal policies and procedures; be accountable for completion of all operational tasks according to departmental guidelines to ensure appropriate clinical processing/documentation
• See patients in a timely and efficient manner, stay reasonably on time for scheduled appointments in practice throughout the day, unless exceptional circumstances occur
• Maintains current licensure and credentials. Remains current in practice.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Graduate of an accredited Advanced Nursing Program or Physician Assistant Program
  • Current license for the State of Texas
  • Prescriptive authority privileges through the State of Texas
  • BLS, ACLS, certification
