We're seeking a Product Owner/System Engineer with an electro-mechanical focus to play a critical role in helping provide the business knowledge and technical skills to implement technical strategies, evaluate products, and provide a superior level of technical cross-functional support that benefits the business. You will be part of a talented team of engineers, possess the interpersonal skills to collaborate with project managers, and leadership to effectively deliver a product designed to meet customers' needs.Highly qualified Product Owner/Systems Engineers will have a background in robotics, software development, systems engineering and analysis. What you'll work on:
- Defining and driving requirement documentation, including theory of operations and metrics, for New Product Development (NPI) and system deployments to guide solution definition.
- Creation of traceability matrix of higher-level requirements to lowest level requirements.
- Providing feasibility and optimization studies for proposed designs.
- Performing Product Owner responsibilities including defect intake, epic & story development, refinement, and sprint alignment.
- Proactively initiating engagement with cross functional teams to review deviations in requirements or system assumptions as the product or solution is developed and deployed.
- Supporting the validation and verification process throughout the Product Development Process. Aid in the creation and maintenance of test plans, procedures, and reports to demonstrate desired performance and validate requirements.
- Performing functional and performance analysis on collected data.
- Documenting, determining root cause and resolving observed issues, anomalies, and provide trouble reports.
- Aid in the development of strategic roadmaps for products and systems.
- Familiarity with automation/electro-mechanical components/devices
- Cross disciplinary engineering knowledge (depth and breadth) with demonstrable development experience in software engineering for an electro-mechanical product or system
- Excellent grammar and documentation skills to support the writing of coherent requirement documents
- Ability to resolve issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistent with our company mission, values, and financial objectives
- Ability to use critical thinking skills to identify, evaluate, and demonstrate solution to complex system problems
- Ability and interest to become subject matter expert, working alongside the development teams
- Experience with common engineering tools, including Pugh Matrices, 8D, DFMEA
- Experience with modern software development practices
- Experience performing comparative analysis
- Proficiency in Jira (or equivalent Work Management System)
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field, with a preference of Software Engineering or Robotics, and a minimum of 1 - 3 years of designing/developing an electro-mechanical product or system
