The Assistant Manager - Sales & Marketing works alongside the studio leadership to actively promote the studio to prospective members, customers, and business partners. This position is responsible for generating new prospects (leads) to the studio through digital marketing, business to business networking, event creation, email and text campaigns. This position is also responsible for ensuring first time visitors to the studio have an overwhelmingly positive experience during your time in studio. The ideal candidate for this position is yoga instructor (new or experienced) who is also looking to utilize their experience in sales and marketing to grow a  yoga community.

  4. computer and technical skills to execute marketing and sales activities using studio systems and tools

Responsibilities

  • Sales: Develop relationships with prospects and convert into members, guiding them to the best membership option based on their goals. 
  • Lead Generation: Feed the studio sales process by leading and executing activities for grassroots events, referrals and reviews from current customers, business to business relationship development, etc. Meet and exceed weekly and monthly lead generation goals (200+) established by the Studio Management
  • Marketing: Lead the studio marketing efforts. Curate a weekly and monthly social media calendar. Create marketing assets, images, and videos using Canva and studio a marketing platform. Monitor the effectiveness of various marketing and promotional activities.
  • Customer experience: welcome visitors and members to the studio. Build productive trust relationships with customers.
  • Prospecting: support in and out of studio events to generate new sales prospects (health fairs, community events, marathons, etc.) Work with studio manager on businesses and organizations to collaborate with to generate new sales prospects to the studio.
  • Member engagement: Conduct studio tours with new prospects to build rapport to facilitate sales; set new members up for success, support members with class selection and participate/lead member appreciation events
  • Operations: Maintain a high degree of cleanliness and studio presentation for current and potential customers. Assist in maintaining a safe environment for all.
  • Self Management: Assumes responsibility for developing marketing and selling skills, reviewing training materials and participating in staff meetings to support achievement of personal and studio goals. “Go the extra mile” to drive sales and deliver exceptional customer service

Schedule

Minimum 25 hours per week. Maximum 35 hours per week.

  • 2-3 weekdays 2pm to 9pm
  • Alternating weekends 630am to 130pm
 

Pay Range

  • $18 - $22/hour based on experience; desire to promote based on results and cultural fit.

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a marketing, business development, or community engagement coordinator
  • Proven work experience as a Retail Sales associate, Sales representative or similar role (i.e. Orangetheory fitness, Gym or health club front desk, Gap, Victoria's Secret)
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  • Proficiency in English
  • Excellent phone skills
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus (high vibrations only)
  • Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
  • High school degree; BS degree in Marketing or related field would be a plus
